Now, it's up to me....

I met with the trainer on Monday for our last session together...I've used up my 32 sessions and really enjoyed learning some new activities with her. I told her if I win the lottery, I'll be back for more sessions!

A couple of things that I will be taking away from the experience:
1) I am good with doing 2 resistance sessions per week...In fact, I saw improved toning with the lighter weights done for specific time periods...I started with 30 seconds and worked up to 1 minute or more per maneuver.

2) I like doing a total body workout each session. It may take a bit longer, but I'm only doing it twice per week.

3) Instead of one, long, drawn out session of cardio, I do bursts of cardio for 7 minutes between lifting. It keeps my heart rate up, and I don't get so bored on the machine. I work many different muscles doing the various cardio workouts; the treadmill climbing hills or trotting, the elliptical, the spin bike and the track can all train different muscles, as well as improve my cardio state.

4) I got used to doing some new equipment. The BOSU ball is something I really saw great benefits with to improving my balance. Standing on the BOSU, while using dumb bells was good to add a new dimension to basic bicep curls or tricep kickbacks. I bought one to use at home.

I saw really good benefits with the new procedures, and look forward to even more body improvements with time...OK, I will lunge too...That is something she had me doing often, but not one of my favorite moves...But they work! So, I'll keep at 'em....

Finally, the nutrition piece of the puzzle is in place. So, nothing is holding me back from continued progress on my journey! I am glad I made the investment and now it's time for me to take the tools she taught me and use them in gratitude.
