Oddly enough, though, there wasn't a fever and I was able to make it to work and was quite productive....until early afternoon on Monday. Then, I could feel myself fading....A medical doctor for the psych hospital I work in looked at my neck and encouraged a visit to my GP for antibiotics. Thankfully, they got me in yesterday afternoon and I've got 4 doses down. It's amazing to live in the day and age where a diagnosis and treatment can result in such marked improvement in a relatively short amount of time! I feel 100% better...So, that's another thing I'm grateful for! I will probably feel good enough to do a cardio session on the stationary bike tonight...I won't push it, but want to keep progressing.
Another source of gratitude is that my DH and DD1 are about to embark on a road trip to North Carolina to pick up my DS1 stationed down there at Fort Bragg. His unit was scheduled to return to Iraq by now, but plans changed and he's able to come home for another visit to celebrate the holiday. My DH has a birthday tomorrow and he will be on the road with our kids to return home. I think that's the best birthday present for him...to have all of us together again for a bit...
Even with the stress and hurried agenda of my life, I've maintained my nutritious food intake. My night out with DH last Saturday was telling...we went to a favorite barbeque ribs place that I used to polish off a 6-bone portion of ribs and the sides that came with it. I couldn't do it! I could not eat that much food anymore...and I didn't want to! The dessert we had planned on stayed unordered....
I'm sincerely thankful for the many blessings in my life. I'm grateful to God for helping me through the challenging times and for allowing me to recognize His goodness to me all the time.
Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Hi Margaret,
So glad to hear that you are feeling better, and love that your DS can be there with you a little more. Best news in the world. Hope that you had a memorable Thanksgiving. You asked if I celebrate Thanksgiving, and yes, I do. This year tho didn´t have much time, so was a baby celebration. Will make up for it on the Christmas one. There is a little American store that sells the typical things...the thing is you have to get there really soon, or they sell out and no more! Last year I didn´t have cranberry sauce due to that, but THIS year I do!
Take care, and proud of how well you are doing1
Hugs,
Lynda
Hi Margaret,
Sounds like your Thanksgiving was wonderful with having your DS home with you. How scary about the lymph node! Glad you're better.
Hi Margaret! You are so right about turning to prayer and friends. If I didn't have those two things, I would be HUGE...well even more so than I am now! LOL!!! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I have not heard from my Son for over a week. I'm sure he's just busy. Your son is included in every prayer I say! :)
