My "no soda" effort continues and is bringing me success...I was down 3 lbs on the scale on Sunday! Honestly, I can't remember the last time I lost that much in a week...With that effort, I'm also avoiding complex carbs after 4pm. So, I am feeling inclined to continue with this to see more success...Sometimes I've missed having a soda, but I just remind myself why I'm doing this and the water I drink satisfies that thirst even better!
There've been other physical benefits too...Not to get too graphic, but I was having some urinary urgency too often! That isn't a problem AT ALL...even when drinking some coffee in the morning or green tea for lunch...I seem to have more time to get to the loo....Yay!
My trainer worked me HARD on Monday...yes, certainly a LABOR DAY for me!! I am going longer with the sprint intervals AND the resistance training...Many times I hit muscle failure the last rep...She's really well-tuned to what my body can do and seems able to push it just right...I noticed that the woman who was my first trainer is now being trained by MY trainer! When I see someone looking at my trainer's bio, I want to tap them on the shoulder and tell them "Go for it!!" It's really been so wonderful to notice new changes EVERY DAY with my body structure...getting smaller and more taut!
Yes, I've got a ways to go, but I'm on the road to success! I'll get there! I've never felt more sure of it...

Such a positive post. I had a Coke zero today as decided that the moment was right, but usually don´t want one at all. You definitely are doing something right. Have fun in Greece!
Lynda
Margaret, just wanted to say have a wonderful time in Greece.
I can't get into the DT site for some reason.
Thanks ladies...
I am really beside myself with excitement for our trip....!!!
I couldn't get in the DT site yesterday either, but can this morning...so I'll have to catch up too.
Have a wonderful day both of you!!!
Have a great time in Greece Margaret. I have to gloat a little because whenever you guys over the pond start talking about the end of summer it means the start of a beautiful summer for us. I can hardly complain tho, I missed most of winter lying in a warm hospital bed, another upside of my accident.
Take care.
You WOULD see the positive side to your accident you positive bloke!!!
Yes, we're off for an adventure to remember, and thanks for the bon voyage Dougal!
So cool that you found a trainer that is in tune with your body. That helps so much!
