Summer has gone by with a flurry of fun activities, but those activities derailed my nutrition efforts...in a big way. I'm so grateful, though, that the increase of 6 pounds seems to be minimal damage. I know that I can get back to it and not have to wait too long to be back on the road to my goal.
My mother, when encouraging me to stop smoking cigarettes, said to me "Never quit quitting..." because she knew that it took her a few efforts to finally conquer the foe! She's got years of cigarette abstinence under her belt and I have 10 years to show for heeding her words! Yeah, it took me many trys...but one day it all clicked and I know that this will be the same way!
Additionally, we've completed our summer activities. As summer winds down, I can ramp up my efforts without the distraction of the State Fair or a summer vacation. My son will be coming home from Iraq in November and he's been working on building his physical body up. I'd love to have visible results by then myself!
So, to assist with the efforts, I started weighing/measuring my food this morning. I was offered a free trainer session and will enjoy that kick in the a** today at 4:30 pm! I'm sure he'll work me harder than I work myself.
All ready for success. I will work through obstacles as they come and share them here. Each episode is sure to have a lesson, because I'm a work in progress!
All the best,
Margaret
