Well, we are experiencing rains here in WI like I've NEVER seen before and I'm wondering if we should start building our Ark!!!! Of course, we've had warnings before, but they've NEVER resulted in the amount of rain and winds that we got this weekend...Tornadoes, even, in some cities...We accumulated over 8 inches on Saturday and Sunday. My DH has kept a watchful eye on the sump pump and gutters to make sure all stays warm and dry IN the house.
I managed to get a quick walk in Friday evening before it all started and even snuck one in on Saturday. The sky threatened, but I made it...and good thing, too, because food hasn't been so good. I have a good meal, and then got tempted by goodies and the change of routine...I also was aching in the hip area on Friday night, so I guess the rain was a blessing in disguise because it did slow me down a bit and the hip feels all better today. I sure wish I knew what I was doing to intermittently aggravate it!
Family time was extensive this weekend and I got DGD1 for a LONG time on Saturday, which also changes plans since she's a baby yet...It will be nice when she's older and I can set her up with a project at the kitchen table, while I prepare a healthier meal...But she is such a sweetie now, I don't want to wish this time away! As a parent, I was always looking forward to an easier time, but now realize that ALL of their stages have challenges...even adulthood! But we sure had fun this weekend and she's rolling over all over now!!!! Got herself nudged up to the hearth when I had run to make a bottle for her after her bath....squawked a bit to let me know she was in a jam!!!
After a good upper body workout and interval cardio session at the gym, I went and bought myself some fancy black capris and the CUTEST black skimmer shoe to go with...I feel very stylish today in them!! Fun, fun...
Yes, we're due for more rain today, but they say it won't be AS MUCH...The ground is saturated and my DH is looking at his garden begging the seeds to stay put!
So, the stationary bike will be for me today...AND I've got a healthy supper in mind...Pray, pray to stay on the right track!

Hi Margaret,
Just seeing how my BUDDY shredder is doing and how it´s going. Now you can see why I fuss all the time about the rain in Spain. We never have much rain (you know dry Spain), but it´s still raining. Rained today a bit. So glad you are doing well and going forward. Love those capris and skimmer shoe..don´t know what they is...maybe ballet flats? Keep it going. We´ve got to get this fat off and fast. I have just found out something...it´s the weights that do it all. Cardio is good, but it´s the weights. Ask Debbie. You can see how fab she looks, and she is doing tons of them. I went out today to buy more and plan on getting with it like a mad woman! Hugs,
Lynda
Hi Margaret,
I am hitting the weights harder and feel so much stronger now. Hopefully the fat will continue to burn off. I have been avoiding the scale since lifting heavy.
I love capris too and there are many stylish ones to choose from.
Thanx for your devine comment on my blog today. They always make me feel so uplifted. Am with you about those weights. Tho am only now getting into all this, I do feel it´s going to be a real change in my life. Boy, did it ever take me a long time!
Wanted to mention this. There´s a guy in our group from South Africa...one of my favorites from the beginning, and he´s just now broken his neck in a surfing accident. His blog is outstanding telling about it, so go and read it all about how/what/when it happened. Reads lika a suspense novel. His last blog, todays, begs one and all to execise, as we don´t know how much longer we have...and he´s so right.

Actually, I had seen your entry about Dougal a few days ago and DID go to his blog AND happened to have written him a note just about an hour ago before I got this from you! Yes, his statement about his PRW really touched my heart and got me thinking BIG TIME!!! Am going to foster that energy into something positive for my program, as well as send him oodles of prayers for a speedy, successful recovery...Wow, life happens in a big way!!!!
Thanks for visiting and I am so grateful for your friendship!
Margaret
Hey young Margaret, if what happened to me motivates you to get going, I'm so grateful. You HONESTLY never know when your health and fitness is going to be needed. Make a promise to yourself...to NEVER stop being fit and strong.
Hi Margaret,
Thinking of you today on Father´s Day. You are so lucky to have had such a memorable, wonderful Dad. You can always celebrate him! Take care...get in a long walk just for you!
Hugs and more hugs,
Lynda
