Got these pix and want to regularly document progress. The scale hasn't been as revealing, so am counting on pix and measurements for encouragement! Aha, I see differences!! Also, my measurements showed greater than a 3.5 inch total change. So, the scale is only one way to measure things....Now that I look at the past pix, I see that I am a bit short of a month in comparing them also...
Yesterday, I met with my fellow Dream Team member, Debbie. She was nearby on business and we met half-way at an outlet shopping mall. Our initial meeting was in the 2 Loon Cafe, which we both agreed was quite a fun name for we 2! I was so relieved to see many healthy choices on their menu and had a delightful iced pomegranite green tea with my wrap. After eating, we futzed with the cameras and a tripod, trying out different lighting. I have to say I'm difficult to get a pic of with my eyes open...blinking so easily with the flash. A fellow eater offered to take a couple of shots and then we were done....
Then, off for some shopping in the outdoor strips of the outlet mall. One of my purchases will be revealed next week after my grand-daughter visits this weekend and I take a pic of her with it on. I was surprised at how little I actually bought, but we got much more conversation in. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to meet and look forward to future times when we and other DT members can get together in person! After knowing each other electronically for 1 1/2 years, it's so easy to get together to talk.
One thing that crossed my mind when talking to Debbie was...Isn't it ironic how having too much on one's plate in the sense of responsibilities and tasks can so often lead to putting too much on one's plate...as in food! I'm working at changing that learned behavior and I know that there ARE OTHER OPTIONS that are much more positive in my life. Take, for instance, after I left Debbie for home. There was a scheduled choir practice that I may have gone to, but I felt it was important to go home, ride the stationary bike for my allotted time and prepare for the next day's activities. Sometimes I need to say "No", and that's ok.
Well, sorry if the pix above look sloppy. I was unsure as how to format this, and I'm sure you can all figure out what is what!
Have a happy and grateful day everyone.

Congratulations on a great month, Margaret! 3-1/2" is a great improvement.
That's a very good point, that when you have a lot on your plate figuratively it's tempting to put a lot on it literally, too.
Thanks Joanne. It really does help to have that legitimization of my efforts with the measurements...told my trainer about it at the gym last night after she asked if I was "losing" again because she noticed the difference!
Hugs,
Margaret
Hi Margaret,
Haven´t been by in several days as have had so much to do with the new deal going on with Adam Waters and the Council 2.0 shred. So much stuff with the PC and am not very good at complicated things. Debbie emailed that she had a wonderful time visiting with you and that you were SO NICE that I would just adore you she was sure. And I am sure that I would! Love those photos you did and they look great. Yes, you have lost so much since the last ones I´ve seen, so a BIG HIGH-5! You are really on your way to your goal. So glad you could meet up with Debbie and have a good talk. Next time maybe I can be there too.
Hugs,
Lynda
Oh Lynda...I would LOVE to meet you too!!! I think we'd get along famously!
Debbie had mentioned ya'll had talked of meeting in Italy some day and that's some place we'd like to go too...Maybe 2009? DH and I want to see the world anyways! Wouldn't that be fun to have us all together? The "boys" wouldn't get a word in edge-wise!
Thanks for coming by....
